The Head of Learning Support, who is a fully qualified specialist, has responsibility for the co-ordination of Special Educational Needs and Disabilities provision throughout the school, including the Early Years Foundation Stage, and works closely with staff, parents and other agencies.
1:1 lessons are provided where needed, in a dedicated learning support room and professional guidance and training is given to staff to secure high quality teaching for pupils with SEND. When a child has been identified as needing individual support, 1:1 lessons with the Head of Learning Support are arranged. These usually take place once or twice a week for 30 minutes per lesson at a cost to the parents. The cost is added to the end of term bill and is considered yearly by the Bursar.
